I suppose I understand Todd Howard not wanting to commit to that on an IGN show, but it does seem like a potentially obvious solution here. This is why the question is raised of maybe it being better if Bethesda passes off Fallout 5, if they’re simply doing too much with the existing mega-projects they have. At that rate, Fallout 5 could be a Series X-2 release. Another generous three years and that’s 2028, approaching the end of this current console generation after it’s run for 8 years. Then, let’s assume that they actually decide Fallout 5 should be their next big project, instead of say, Starfield 2.
